Dolores C. Schuhler, 76, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 13, 1942, the daughter of August and Teresa (Roberts) Uecker. She married Edward H. Schuhler on March 3, 1962, who preceded her in death in 2009.
She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1960. She worked for Lutheran Hospital for many years. She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Arcola. She enjoyed spending time with all her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crafting, gardening and baking.
She is survived by seven children, Mark Schuhler (Shelly) of Zionsville, IN; Daniel Schuhler (Christine) of Fort Wayne, IN; Louise Schultheis (Phillip) of Fort Wayne, IN; Timothy Schuhler of Huntington, IN; Denise Schultheis (David) of Roanoke, IN; Jill Larsen (Marc) of Decatur, IN; Rita Hart of South Whitley, IN, and 16 grandchildren. Surviving siblings include brother James Uecker (Virginia) of Fort Wayne, IN; sisters, Rita Gloer (James) of Fremont, OH; Teresa Lucas (Joseph) of Bensalem, PA; Barbara LaCombe (Alan) of Pioneer, OH; Cecilia Uecker of Fort Wayne, IN, and Clare Powell of Elk Grove, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12305 Arcola Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46818. Burial will follow at the St. Patrick Catholic Church Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019, at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home – Covington Knolls Chapel, and also at the church one hour prior to funeral service.
