Dixie M. Stouder, 83, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Dixie worked with Seyferts and most recently with Plastics Composites Co. where she retired. She was a member of Community of Christ Church, and an active volunteer at Parkview Randallia. Surviving are her son, Jeff Laymon of Jacksonville, FL; step-son, David (Brenda) Stouder of Columbia City; step-daughter, Susan (Mike) Frantz of Columbia City, IN; special friends, Ed and Diana Demarco of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and son-in-law, Rick Rutledge. Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin Stouder; parents, Ned and Laura Mae Tarney; son, Jason Laymon; daughter, Lisa Rutledge; 1 great-grandson and her brother, Nedrick Tarney. Service is 3:00 pm, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Community of Christ Church, 3223 Hobson Rd with calling 2 hours prior beginning at 1:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Community of Christ Church.
