Diane M. Steinbeck, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 5, 2018. Born in Akron, Ohio, Diane was the daughter of the late Ward and Dixie Myers. She graduated from Indiana University with her degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She worked as an architectural consultant but, more importantly, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Diane loved animals. She enjoyed art, painting, traveling around the world with her husband, going on cruises, and teaching water safety for instructors. She is survived by her husband, John Steinbeck of Fort Wayne; son, Thomas (Deidre) Steinbeck of FL; grandchildren, Jessica, Jake, and Nick. Visitation will be held at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road on Friday, March 16, 2018, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 10:30 am at Messiah Lutheran Church 7211 Stellhorn Rd with visitation one hour prior, Rev. Timothy Graham officiating. Burial at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fort Wayne Animal Shelter or Messiah Lutheran Church.
