Diane F. Ward, 64, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Chicago, IL, Diane worked with Target for 25 years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband, Chet Ward of Fort Wayne; daughters, Ashley (Jeremy) Brickey, and Kaitlin Ward of Fort Wayne; son, Dr. Chad Ward of Iowa City, IA; 4 grandchildren, Madisyn, Austin, Chase, and Aliyah; brothers, Gerald (Kathleen) Rehr, Robert (Carol) Rehr, Keith (Cathleen) Rehr, Kenneth (Mary Jo) Rehr; sister, Judith (Dwaine Marcin) Rehr all of the Chicago area; and many nephews and nieces. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Frances Rehr. Mass of Christian Burial is 2:00 pm Friday, September 1, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd with calling one hour prior. Calling also Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd, with a Rosary service at 4:30 pm. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
