Dennis C. Hipskind, 66, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Dennis graduated from the University of Dayton with his Bachelor's degree in business management. He was the founder and CEO of Three Rivers Barricade and Equipment Co., Inc. where "Excellence in Traffic Control" was continually practiced for 37 years. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church where he served on both the finance and buildings & grounds committees. Dennis was an avid Dayton Flyers basketball fan and a proud member of the "Flyer Faithful". He enjoyed spending time with his family at Lake Wawasee and was frequently quoted as saying, "I've been coming here since before I was born". Surviving are his wife, Marylou Hipskind of Fort Wayne; son, Andy (Tara) Hipskind of Fort Wayne; daughter, Natalie Hipskind of Miami, FL; his sisters, Julie Helka, Sarah Shank, and Martha Pennell; brothers, Patrick Hipskind, Robert Hipskind, and Stephen Hipskind. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, David and Georganna Hipskind; sisters, Ann Hipskind and Mary Powers. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr, with calling one hour prior. Calling also Monday, June 12, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
