David E. Martin, Sr., 73, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017. He was born in LaPorte, IN, on September 23, 1943, the son of the late Edward and Pauline Martin. David was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He was an avid Notre Dame Fan and season ticket holder, in his spare time he enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his children, David E. Martin, Jr., Daniel (Christine) Martin, Donovan (Camille) Martin; grandchildren, Dawn Martin, Danielle (Jerome) Williams, Danica Martin, Daniel Martin, Magdalen Martin, Tristan Martin, and Juniper Martin; siblings, Karen Maley, Cindy (Neill) Martin-Rolsky, Joan (Tony) Wilson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Monday, February 27, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Road Sunday, February 26, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Matthew 25 or Saint Mary's Soup Kitchen.
