On April 16, 2018, Daniel F. Linnemeier, of Fort Wayne, shed the shackles of pain and illness and ran into the arms of Jesus. Before this glorious reunion he was born on June 18, 1943. He was the son of the late Fred W. Linnemeier and Reba (Peterson) Linnemeier. He served with the 890th Transportation Co. serving from 1963 to 1970. He worked for B.F. Goodrich from 1962 to 1973 and then with Aunt Millie's Bakeries from 1974 until his retirement in 2012. Mr. Linnemeier was elected trustee of Lake Township in 1978 and served for 40 years until his death. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Northeastern REMC for six years. Daniel had a strong faith and loved his God. He gave pens out as a ministry that would read, "I'm Redeemed by the Grace of God" and "I'm Saved By My Faith in His Son". Surviving are the love of his life, his wife Carolyn (Dunfee) Linnemeier of Fort Wayne; children, Lisa (Robert) Ferguson of Tipton, IN and Erik (Jody) Linnemeier of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Ryan and Lauren Ferguson and Carter and Miah Linnemeier. He is also survived by siblings, Christy (Johnathan) Gerken and John and (Peggy) Linnemeier. Daniel is preceded in death and reunited at the moment of his passing with his beloved grandson Gage Daniel Linnemeier.
