Dale L. Gerber, 79, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his home in Fort Wayne. Born in Decatur, Indiana, Dale was the son of the late Fred and Kathryn Gerber. Dale served our country in the U.S. Army. He worked for Eckrich Meats and the Indiana State Developmental Center prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Living Church of God. He enjoyed riding his bike, exercising, playing basketball, along with spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Rozella Gerber of Fort Wayne; children, Annette (Joseph) Sauter, James (Lisa) Gerber both of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Alyssa, Alexia, and Kathryn; siblings, Luella Schladenhauffen, Nancy (Keith) Honegger, Charles (Marilyn) Gerber, Shirley Fiechter all of Bluffton, and Roger (Eunice) Gerber of Paulding, OH. Dale was preceded in death by his sister Marguerite Stoller. Service is 11:00 am, May 25, 2017 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior, Mr. William Long officiating. Calling at the funeral home Wednesday, May 24, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Living Church of God.
