Cynthia "Cande" Vaughn, 64, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017. Born in Winchester, Indiana, Cande was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Ellen Thomas. Cande earned her bachelors degree in human resources from Harrison College. She was the owner of Hartford City Medical Transportation for many years. Cande loved making beautiful crochet items. Her greatest joy in life was the adoption of her two boys, Jayce and Jonathan. Surviving are her step-mother, Patricia Thomas; sons, Jayce and Jonathan Vaughn; brother, Mike Flannagan; sister, Vicki Kutchenmiester; half brother, Charles Thomas; step-siblings, Steve and Tina Keihn, Mary (John) Capone, Tamara (Bill) Bonshire, Cindy (Martin) Barnhart; caregiver and friend, Linda (Kedric) Hanni of Bluffton, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Service is 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 28, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the family.
