Constance "Connie" (Keck) Shinabarger, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Kingston at Dupont. Mrs. Shinabarger was born on October 2, 1933 in Alvordton, OH, to Ray and Claudine (Hershiser) Keck. In 1951, she graduated from Alvordton High School and then continued her education at Huntington University. On February 28, 1954, she married James Shinabarger at Olive Branch Church in Alvordton, Ohio. Connie was a Homemaker. Together, she and her husband owned a farm for 46 years. Connie and Jim would work the land together and co-operate the farm. Connie was very active in the United Methodist Church Women's Ministries and a founding member of the Rural Chaplins Association. She was a member of Grabill Missionary Church. Survivors include her son, Jamie (Catherine) Shinabarger of Jasper, IN; son, Todd (Cindy) Shinabarger of Newnan, GA; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Judith Keck of Crawfordville, FL; Connie was preceded in death by spouse, parents, son, Chadwick Shinabarger; brother, Joe Keck; and sister, Joan Whitis. Service is 10:00 am, July 9, 2018 at Grabill Missionary Church, 13637 State St, Grabill, Indiana 46741 with Pastor Bill Lepley officiating. Calling at Grabill Missionary Church, 13637 State St, Grabill, Indiana 46741 Sunday, July 8, 2018, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Burial will take place at 1:30pm Monday, July 9, 2018, in Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer, Ohio. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Grabill Missionary Church.
