Carol L. Ellis, 80, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at St. Anne's Home from a long harrowing struggle with Alzheimer's. She was born June 2, 1937 in Roanoke IN, the daughter of the late Alton and Mildred Lesh.
Carol worked with Ellison Bakery for 15 years before her retirement. She was a member of The Chapel, and the American Legion Post in Waynedale.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Arlie L. Ellis; sons, Kip (Denise) Ellis and Todd (Gary Bayman) Ellis; daughters, Mary Kay (Sue Cooper) Wallace, Julie (Steve) Twehues; 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Terry (Sharon) Lesh, Tom (Sandy) Lesh; sisters, , Sharon (Dave) Bailey, and Nancy Perry. Incredible thanks to the third floor staff at St. Anne Home and Heartland Hospice
Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Lesh; and sister, Marge Rohr
Funeral service is 11 am on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road.
Visitation will also be at the funeral home on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 5-8pm
Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the St. Anne's Home Randallia, the Children's program at The Chapel, or Heartland Hospice.
