Carol J. (Norris) Glass, 76, passed away Saturday morning surrounded by the love and support of her family. Before marriage to John T. Glass in 1962, she was an orthodontic dental assistant and a water safety instructor. Carol was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, crafts, knitting, crocheting, reading, swimming and water sports. Out of her good heart, and love of children the Glass family became a foster home, taking in babies over a 15 year period. Two of those longer term babies became permanent members of the family. Carol had a strong Christian faith, love of family, a great sense of humor, and the highest integrity in all that she did. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. Surviving are her husband, John T. Glass of New Haven, four children, Mary (Todd) Kirtlan of Roann, Nancy (Kent) Roth of Grabilll, James (partner April) Glass of Fort Wayne, Anthony (Taryn) Glass of Harlan; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law; niece and nephew; and two first cousins.
