Blagoy A. Nanchoff, 85, passed away peacefully November 2, 2017 at The Heritage of Fort Wayne. Born March 27, 1932 in Gorno Dupeni, Macedonia, he was the son of the late Andrea and Sela Nanchoff. Blagoy immigrated to the United States in 1960, settling in Lima, Ohio prior to moving to Fort Wayne. He then married his wife, Vasilka, on November 5, 1961 and took care of her lovingly and faithfully until she passed in 2011 from her battle with Alzheimer's. Blagoy worked at WT Grants, Elks Lodge, and Lincoln Life. He was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church and enjoyed gardening and tending to his flowers. He looked forward to meeting his friends at Cosmos and Mister Coney after taking his morning walks at Glenbrook. He cherished his time spent with his grandchildren the most. With much gratitude, the family would like to thank the healthcare community who cared for Blagoy in his final days. Surviving are his daughters, Diana Harris, Linda (Curtis) Blake; grandchildren, William and Ryan Harris, Monica and Sonjia Blake. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Vasa, Zivko, and Lazo. Service is 11 am, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, 3535 Crescent Avenue with calling one hour prior, Fr. Andrew Jarmus, Prododeacon Michael Myers officiating. Calling at the church, Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm with entry prayer at 12:45 pm and a Trisagion Service at 7 pm. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church. D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
