Betty Jean Sapp, 94, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Betty was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Sapp. She graduated from South Side High School class of 1942. She worked General Electric for 43 years, retiring in 1986. Throughout her working career at GE, she was known as the "Suggester." She was the highest paid GE suggester up to her retirement. She was a member of GE Quarter Century Club and St. Patrick Catholic Church. Surviving are her close friends, Carol (Ron) Wurst, and Teresa (Louie) Elkins. Betty was preceded in death by her siblings, James, Virginia, and Mary. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 am, Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church with calling one hour prior. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road Monday, April 9, 2018, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a rosary service at 6:30 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or Heartland Hospice.
