Betty J. Failor, 97, passed away July 23, 2018. She was the daughter of Ruth C. and Claude B. Jefferies. She was a resident of Heritage Park Nursing Home for the last 2 ½ years. Betty was a graduate from North Side High School, worked at GE and later, she and her husband owned Coliseum Service Center. Betty kept the books, and did the payroll. She was active in boating, water skiing, ballroom dancing, riflery and church. Surviving are her son, Dana R. (Nell) Failor; daughter, Karen L. (Bruce R.) Bennett; 5 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; 6 great step grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Karen Failor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick R. Failor; her 2 sisters, Helen M. Goonen and Norma J. Stemen; brother, John L. Jefferies; son Michael A. Failor; great-grandson, Alexander R. Failor. Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday, July 30, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805, with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, IN.
