Barbara Jean Larimer nee Harris, 86, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 in Fort Wayne with her husband and daughters by her side. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Barbara worked with Parkview Hospital for 16 years. She was a member of First Wayne Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Jack Larimer of Fort Wayne; daughters, Claudia (William) Cappelli, and Laura (Doug Pickelheimer) King both of Fort Wayne; 5 grandchildren, Matthew (Katie) Rhineholz, Bethany (Anthony) Shefferly, Kyle, Eleni, and Ryan Vlastos; 5 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Patricia (Duane) Wolf of Fort Wayne. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Harris and Ora Harris-Bradtmueller; 9 brothers, and 2 sisters. Service is 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at First Wayne Street United Methodist Church, 300 E. Wayne St with calling one hour prior. Calling also at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd, on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
