Barbara A. Engelhaupt, 88, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Kingston Residence in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Barbara was the daughter of the late George Jackson and Agnes Lee. She graduated from Central Catholic High School class of 1947. Barbara was a volunteer secretary at St. Joseph Catholic School for eight years. She also worked for the Fort Wayne South Bend Diocese for ten years, and was a legal secretary for Warren W. Wyneken for six years prior to her retirement in 1997. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Barbara was an avid reader, enjoyed music, needlepoint, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Surviving are her sons, Bryan (Stacy) Engelhaupt of Fort Wayne, Steve (Charlene) Schieferstein of Tallassee, AL; grandchildren, Jacie (Brett) Williams, Adam (Danielle) Schieferstein, Tyler and Trevor Engelhaupt, and Melissa (Mike) Lovejoy; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Maggie, Price, Hunter, and Clayton. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Engelhaupt; son, Daniel Schieferstein; and sister, Jean Salge. Service is 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling at the funeral home Tuesday, April 11, 2017, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
