Annette E. Jones, 78, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Milwaukee, WI, Annette loved caring for her family as a homemaker and recently worked as a teacher's assistant with Fort Wayne Community Schools. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and was an active volunteer with various local organizations. Annette always enjoyed caring for the needs of children. Her family includes her husband, Thomas Jones; her children, Robert (Susan) Jones, Elizabeth Jones, Annita Elick, Timothy (Michelle) Jones all of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Emily Elick, and Justin Jones; great-granddaughter, Hannah Hastings; and sister, Margaret (Joseph) Palmisano of Franklin, WI. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Margaret Chmielewski; grandsons, Stephen, James, and Robert Elick; 2 sisters; and 1 brother. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd, with calling one hour prior. Calling also at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a Rosary service at 4:30 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Catholic Television Mass of Fort Wayne or St. Peter St Paul Catholic Church of Huntington, IN or the Ashton Creek Activities Fund.
