ANGELINE ROSE STRAHM "ANGIE", 86, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died peacefully Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at home, surrounded by her family. Born on Dec. 23, 1930 in Fort Wayne, Ind., she was a daughter of James and Mary Perrella. She spent her early years at St. Vincent Villa orphanage along with her brothers and sisters. She worked for 43 years and retired from Magnavox/Raytheon in Fort Wayne. Her children and grandchildren remember her as the most wonderful nurturing mother figure who loved her children and grandchildren more than anything else. She was an active and dedicated member of the Catholic Church, where she attended Mass regularly. Angie is survived by her children, Gary (Nanci) of Fort Wayne, Steve (wife Rose) of Payne, Ohio, Doug (Bruce) and Rob (Cindy) Strahm, both of Fort Wayne; along with her 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Frank (Janet) Bontempo of Waynedale, Ind., and many family and friends in Macchiagodena, Italy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel "Gene" Strahm of Fort Wayne, Ind.; her son, Danny (Samantha) Strahm of Appleton, Wisc.; and her daughter, Cindy (survived by husband Waine) Phillips of Fort Wayne, Ind.; her siblings, Tony Perrella, Mary Numbers, Maggie Clifford and Jimmy (his wife Carol who is surviving) Perrella of Fort Wayne, Ind. A Mass of Christian burial is 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W. State Blvd., Fort Wayne (IN 46808), with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at D.O. McComb and Sons, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne (IN 46805). Burial will take place in Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Queen of Angels or Parkview Hospice.
