Alice D. Gavin, 84, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Born in Chicago, IL, Alice enjoyed caring for her family as a homemaker and later enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Surviving are her daughter, Mary (Tim) Saxer of Spencerville, IN; 2 grandchildren, Gavin Saxer and Kiersten Saxer; and her sister, Leatrice Haderly of Algonquin, IL. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Gavin; son, James Gavin; parents, Leon and Beatrice Lasecki; and brother, Philip Lasecki. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Thursday, March 15, 2018 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd with calling one hour prior. Calling also at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Rd on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
