Carol was a great family friend. She had a huge impact on my life and fed my love of history in so many ways. My passion for teaching and for my subject areas I can attribute to her in so many ways. Rest in peace, Carol.

The only woman I knew who could walk across the entire gym floor on her hands! Ms. poling taught gym at Perry Hill while I was there in junior high and I was always impressed by her. My condolences to her family and friends.

Not only did Miss Poling have me in class, but she had my Uncle Jim, my Mom (Linda), and sister (Sara) as students. We are all saddened by your passing, but will have fond memories of you always. RIP.

Carol & I talked monthly when she would come in to pay for her services for the past 10 years. She always looked forward to workign in her yard. Spring will miss her this year as will I.

Wonderful memories of high school gym classes and volleyball, softball, and Girls Athletic Association with Miss Poling. She was always very kind-hearted to me, and gave me strength and wisdom to do my best. I still have a Komets hockey puck she gave me in 1967; it's one of those treasures that I'll always keep.

Rest in peace, Miss Poling. You deserve it!

I have fond memories of you, Carol, as the gym teacher who welcomed me to Arcola School for the 3 years I taught there. I enjoyed running into you a few times since - sometimes at Johnny Appleseed. You certainly had a full life with all those teaching years. Your family is in my thoughts & prayers -

Ms Poling,
You touched more lives than you realized through the years. I have fond memories of her teaching History and gym at Arcola. May you rest in peace.

Remembering the good times we had together when we lived in FT. Wayne and the many meals with you and your parents. Also Carol introduced us to the game of Hockey and we saw our first game with her. We are sorry we are unable to attend the funeral as we are still in Florida, but our thoughts and prayers will be with you during this sad time.
With our love, Cleo and Kae Betts. cell# 574-361-2025

Ms. Poling, What a fun teacher and coach. Had her at Arcola and Perryhill. She certainly had an ornery side! RIP

Wow! I met Carol when I started volunteering for UpWards in the concession stand at Trinity United Methodist Church. She was the "popcorn lady
". She taught me how to make it. I knew she was a sweetheart, and that she had an ornery side. I had no idea she dedicated so much of her life to children and to church. I was blessed to know her even a little. She will be missed!
