Tribute & Message From The Family

Matthew Tyler Richey, 21, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 15, 2019 at home. Matthew most recently worked at Alconex as an engineer through the co-op program at Purdue Fort Wayne. Matthew enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandpa and nieces and nephews. He loved and was passionate about history. Matthew touched so many people in his short life. He will be missed by everyone he touched. He had a phenomenal sense of humor that will be missed. Surviving are his parents, David and Angela Richey; sister, Christina (Tony) Timms; brothers, Michael (Breanna) Richey; and Aaron (Andrea) Richey; grandparents, L. Michael Roach; Carole Garrison; and Marjorie Lebamoff; nieces and nephews, Amelia; Eleanor; Elijah; Caitlyn; Lukas; Kingston; and Ayden; and numerous aunts; uncles; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles H. Richey; and Carl Lebamoff. Funeral is 10:30 AM Thursday, November, 21, 2019 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church 1500 W. State Blvd. with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also 2 -4 and 6 – 8 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at D. O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Avenue with a vigil service at 3:30 PM. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery.

Dave and Angie, we are so sorry for your loss. Matthew was a special kid. Sarah and I were just talking about how Matt would let Wyatt be a leach when they were younger. And no matter how annoying Wyatt was Matt was very gracious with him. He had a big heart. We will be praying for you during this time.
