Condolence & Memory Journal

The other day I was going through my old cassette tapes and ran across one that we made one night at Norm and Maris'. We were gathered at the house across the bridge in L&L park and were having fun singing Karaoke. Norm was singing.

What a fun couple they were. I loved hearing her funny stories about the grandchildren. They were never "typical grandkid stories", in fact to this day I still relate one of Maris' stories to friends.

I miss the two of them so much.

I didn't hear about Maris's passing until after the funeral. So sorry. We loved her and enjoyed catching up at camp! You will all be in our prayers.

So sad to hear of Maris' passing. Norm and Maris were good friends of Mine and my late husband Don.
I always knew I could find Maris at the pool and would go just to sit and talk with her. I loved the funny stories she would tell me about her grandchildren.

Norm and Maris both loved to entertain and we all loved to be invited to their home at Light and Life Park. What fun we all had playing hand and foot and singing Karaoke.

Our world is not the same without Norm and Maris in it but what a happier place Heaven is!

Dear Maris:
Thank you for being one of my surrogate Mothers after my own died so young.
Thank you for our children's choir that you directed and allowed me to be a member.
Everything. You were accepting and loving.
Thank you for helping to make my first Church home one that I've compared all others.
Maris, if only we could see you NOW!

I grew up celebrating every birthday and holiday with Uncle Norman at Maris and all my cousins that come along with such a warm loving family.
Maris gave me a Jesus lives book with daily scriptures to read when I first started having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Thank you for the impact you made in my life by showing all of us how much you truly loved Jesus Christ in your life. Love You!
