Tribute & Message From The Family

On Wednesday June 12, 2019, Joshua David Beck, loyal son and brother, suddenly passed away in his home at age 41.
Joshua was born March 23, 1978 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and grew up in and around Fort Wayne. He graduated from South Side High School in 1996. He enjoyed working hard and spent most of his working career in service for the construction industry, and for local sports teams, the Komets and TinCaps.
Joshua was committed to his friends, and endlessly supported those in his community who were also living with mental illness.
Joshua was a devout Christian. He desired a righteous life and spoke to others about God at every chance he could. He loved his family and talked to his mom every single day. Joshua was a masterful chess player and loved movies and martial arts. Joshua was adored by all who knew him because of his kind and compassionate heart. Joshua wanted to go back to school and dreamed of being able to help others with mental illness. He will be deeply missed.
Joshua was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Betty Beck and maternal grandparents James T. Perkins and Mary Jane King Perkins. He is survived by his paternal grandfather James T. Beck, parents, David and Elaine Beck, sister Tess Beck, brother Marshal Warner, sister Carmen (Jordan) Dillon, and sister Anita (Chris) Woodard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes-Lakeside Park, on Lake Ave. The viewing will begin at 8:30 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m.

From the time you were a baby you were such a source of light in my life. I miss your smile, laughter, and hugs so much. I feel lost and undone without you. Yet I rejoice that you are free of the medicines and their side effects, and that you are with others who loved you too on that other side. Shine on Josh. I know you will. Aunt Tina
