Condolence & Memory Journal

To The Ruoff Family:

I first met Dave back in the 1970's when I worked for Colonial Mortgage and First Federal Savings and Loan as their appraiser. I had a lot of respect for him and admired the way that he treated people! He helped out a lot of people over the years as will his company will continue to do in the future! He was a great man that I had the privilege to know!

Gary and I are very sorry for the loss of this wonderful man. He seemed so very genuine. Dave always had a smile and a kind word to share. Many happy memories I am so sure. May they bring you warmth and a smile in the future as I am sure Mr. Ruoff will be very missed.

My deepest condolences and sympathies to the family of Dave Ruoff. His legacy lives on with his employees and the family foundation upon which Ruoff Home Mortgage has been built and continues to develop. It is an honor and privilege to work for such kind people.

Dave was a great man and founder of the company that I worked for the past 8 years. He always took time to say a kind word or a funny story regardless of how many people were waiting to talk to him. His impact on all the people he came in contact with cannot be overstated. He will be truly missed.

Dave will always be remembered by his genuine personality, handshake, and smile. The first time I met Mr. Ruoff was on a Lake Cruise soon after I was hired at Ruoff. At the time I did not know him, but he personally took an interest in me. He made me feel as I had been his friend for a long time. Over the years this never changed. He always would tell me he kept track of me and that meant a lot to me. From that point on, he was one of the people I would seek out at Ruoff events so I could shake his hand and see his smile. Dave had a way of making people feel good and needed. Dave will be missed, but never forgotten. R.I.P Mr. Ruoff

My deepest sympathy is with you, Judy, and your family. I treasure the many good memories I have of the good times shared with you and Dave...over the bridge table, cheering for I.U..just being together. Since I am out of town, I cannot personally extend my feelings to you....but you will be in my daily prayers and thoughts.

To David's family, I would like to offer my sincere condolences for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us that God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, and that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. May that bring you comfort at this difficult time.
