Condolence & Memory Journal
A fond hello to Tom's family. I learned of Tom's passing from the North Side alumni publication: Totem Tales. Sherry - I know that we met at least once at a North Side High School reunion. I met Tom at North Side, but had an earlier connection. Tom's aunt and uncle (Bob Watt) lived next door to where I grew up on West State Blvd. Bob and family later moved to Florida. I enjoyed knowing Tom and even hosted a surprise birthday party for him and another friend of ours - I think Tom was 16 at the time. He was very appreciative and pleased. I lost track of many classmates as I moved several times after graduation and finally ended up in a suburb of Houston in 1976. From reading Tom's obituary I was delighted to learn that he was able to serve the Lord in his career. What a blessing that is to you all. May the Lord hold you near until you are together again.
Blessings - Linda (Motz) Baker NSHS 1966

I am so very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He came into my life at a point in my career where I really needed a Tom Watt. Someone who was passionate, yet measured; someone who was profoundly insightful, yet humble. Tom was a great friend and a true role model. And not just for me. He touched many lives, both those in the churches he served and in the ranks of the colleagues he served with. Rest in peace my friend. Sherry, our hearts go out to you.
