Dear Ones,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you adjust to the hole in the fabric of life that your mother filled. May you have Peace and Solace present as you grieve, and yes, Joy in the celebration of her heavenly homecoming.

Mrs. Hoham was my babysitter for a long time when my mother and I moved to Fort Wayne in 1970 or so. She was the most comforting, loving, wonderful woman --as was her family. When my mom dropped me off before school one St. Patrick's Day with no green on...Mrs. Hoham quickly made me a green yarn tassel and pinned it to my dress so I wouldn't get pinched. Who does that? What a great lady. Very lucky family you all are to have had her so long. I have wonderful memories of the years I spent at your house next to Orchard Ridge GC. I think of you all every time my son plays a tournament there.
Fondly,
Sheila Boone Elzey

Evie at age 14 became my Godmother along with her father, John. Over the years our families have kept in contact.
As a believer that she was a sinner like we all are, and was saved by believing in Jesus' dying and rising from the dead after 3 days for our sins, she is now with the saints in Heaven.
