We met Nick at the age of 5 when we moved into the neighborhood. Even then, he was out-going because he introduced himself to Rich. We remember "snap-shots" in time over the 15 years we have seen Nick - riding his bike, then his go-kart and then doing yard work. My mother has always told me that once you "go gray", you become invisible. We are thankful we weren't invisible to Nick. He chatted with us when we went on our walks. He waved to us when we drove by his house. We will miss his bright smile and his yearly fireworks!
We are so sorry for your loss,

Hursh Family, I am so sorry for your loss.
I had the pleasure of spending valuable time with Nick, while at Betty Ford. Nick's kind-heart, positive outlook on life, and compassion was nothing short of inspirational. Every time he would enter any place at Betty Ford he lightened up the room. He had an incredible lust for life that was nothing short of inspirational. I personally witnessed him on numerous occasions approach and provide his undivided attention to those who were having bad days and completely changed their attitude and gave them hope. He had a tremendous gift for helping people, which will never be forgotten.

To The Hursh family and friends,
I didn't know Nick or his family at all but my cousin (Amanda) is a coworker of Nick's dad and we actually was just talking this weekend about him. And I said that smile would light up the room! I heard what happened and I cried like he was my family. There are no words I can say to ease your pain. But please know even though I don't know you I am praying for you and for strength to somehow get through this.
My deepest condolences
