I met Dr Wes back in 1980. I was a student of his that took as many classes as I could of his. He has had a huge impact on my life. There is almost never a day goes by that I dont rely on something that I learned under his wise teaching. So practical and doctrinally accurate. I look forward to seeing him in heaven!!

We are so sorry we could not be there o expresss our condolences personally. With a granddaughter's wedding, hosting family from out of state, and physical issues, we regret we could not attend either the calling or funeral. Cherished memories go back well over 50 years when Dt. Wes was teaching the Pathfinder's SS Class at FMC. In naming the class, Pathfinders was used for lack of a "better" name and it stuck all this time! Also, memories of playing
Also, memories of playing in a trumpet trio at FMC with Wes and Jim Laymon years back. I also recall Wes coming to denominational hqs. to make copies of the monthly Gerig newsletter and giving him many overseas stamps from missionaries. Needless to say, we rejoice with you that Wes is now with the Lord and we who remain behind are all better people because of Wes' influence on our lives.

I had the privilege to sit under Dr. Wes' teaching at FWBC in the 1980's. He was such a Godly man and there is not a day that goes by that I don't use something that he taught me. I know he is now basking in the Masters presence hearing "well done, good and faithful servant". I'm so thankful that I could clean from him.

Dr. Wes touched my life in many ways. He was one of my favorite profs at Taylor FW. He had such a passion for the Lord and a passion for the Holy Scriptures. It was contagious. It was compelling. It was powerful. His example stirred in my heart those same passions.
I will always count it an honor to sit under his teaching. He had such a gift in making the scriptures come alive. And even more so, in applying its meaning to our everyday lives. He leaves a rich, godly legacy for us all.
May your hearts be filled to overflowing with God's peace.

Due to present health issues we are sending our "Sympathy' to the very dear Gerig family.
Wes, was a God like mentor, pastor (an interim at Harvester Ave. Miss. Church for 11 yrs.), assisted in the marriage of our children, and faithfully prayed for our son Gene (Bub) after his stroke.
We rejoice in Wes's home going but we will miss a faithful servant of the Lord!

Dad & Mom Ringenberg preached @ Cleveland Missionary Church after Dr. and Mrs. Jared and Mildred Gerig were there. He has many fond memories of Dr. Wes and family. Our families were close. Randy & I were privileged to minister under Dr. Wes and Rev. Max Wanner with the Youth & Bible Quizz Team @ Harvester Ave. Missionary Church in the early 80's. He dedicated our firstborn, Jennifer Marie Nigh. Her husband, Rev. Matt Gaylor Co-Pastors a church, " N-Spire " in Indianapolis, In.
