My deepest sympathies to all family members. His service has been appreciated by many. Theology classes were challenging and life changing. So fortunate to have had him as a professor.

I, Linda Perkins Smith, was in a trio with Sally (Carr) Hall and Jan (Schumacher) Logan in 1965-66 and traveled with Dr Wes to churches on the week-ends. I was called "Perk" because there were 7 Lindas in my dorm, Providence Hall, when I went to FWBC in 1964. Dr Wes ALWAYS called me "Perky" rather than "Perk." That was special to me! Loved that man!! Blessings on you all as you remember him and as others share how HE was a blessing to us!!

May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion, comfort you in this loss.
Dr. Wes was convinced of his beliefs, combative toward opposing viewpoints, compelling in his teaching, constant in work and prayer, consistent in lifestyle, content with his role, concerned for his students, cordial with his colleagues, compassionate toward the lost and needy, committed to his family, conscious of God's mercy and constrained by Christ's love.
Dr. Wes loved alliteration! And music. He collected

Thank you Dr. Wes for your many years of service to the Lord at the Fort Wayne Bible College and our community. I (Annette) grew up at First Missionary Church from age 5 and our family always appreciated it so much when you would share what the Lord laid on your heart. We enjoyed hearing you play the trumpet too. We have many special memories and moments to treasure in our hearts.

So sorry for your loss but rejoicing in his greeting with Jesus! He was a wonderful man and made my 27years at Fort Wayne Bible, Summit Christian, and Taylor a much more Christ-filled environment. Praying for the family.

Jeanne, John, Jeff and Jerry,
We are so sorry to hear about the passing of your father, but know that he is rejoicing in the presence of his Lord and Savior. His life has touched so many others for the purpose of Christ. I know that my grandparents and parents had the greatest amount of respect for him and your mother. His passing will leave a hole in your families, but also a tremendous legacy to follow. May the Lord comfort and bless you during this time.

Dr. Wes was truly a treasure from God. He was one of the rare people that God places in our lives that have the unshakable faith: "O faith, that will not let me go..." He inspired many through his love of God and Christ, and his love of the Scriptures. His heart was warm with the love of Jesus, and he shared it with so many. He will truly be missed, but his legacy will live on in the thousands

Thank you, Dr Wes, for standing firm on God's Word and teaching with passion and compassion! You taught and showed me how important it is to walk with the LORD and in His Word. I know you are in His presence and I look forward to seeing you again in Heaven. My deepest sympathy to the family! My prayers are with you. I wish I could be there for the funeral! Love, Lisa
